PLEASE READ VERY URGENT!!

Hopefully I got your attention. Sadly, I wish I didn't have to do something like it to get you to read our journals.

Let me start off, if you are inactive or have refused to read our journals or pay attention to what is going on with this group, I'd like you to leave. It's disheartening to have inactive members. I'd rather have 10 active members than a 100 inactive.

So do some soul searching, decide whether you want to put any effort towards being a member here, and act on your decision.

But if I can influence your decision, I'd like to. So keep reading, and if you like the sound of where we're going, by all means stick around.

First things first: Please, please, please submit to the correct folder. I understand that sometimes you click the wrong button or forget to, and that's okay. But know that I will decline incorrectly submitted deviations. Also, if it does happen, you can resubmit it to the correct folder, and I will accept it Truly, cross my heart.

Alright, now to the fun stuff.

In our gallery, we have a folder titled 'Writing Tips and Tricks'. It is just as the title suggests, full of different tips/tricks to help you with your writing. It does include some ideas for getting over writer's block, in case you're interested. There will also be different writing prompts as well to hone your writing skills. Also, this folder with be updated weekly with any of the above. If you are curious for more, check out ideasrknockin.deviantart.com/g….

Now, for just simply being awesome, how would you like a free, no-strings-attatched critique? Or multiple critiques? Leave a comment on my page: ideasrknockin.deviantart.com/ with a link to what you would like me to critique. Or, if you'd prefer, link me multiple pieces of yours. If there is anything specific you want me to check/look for, let me know. I can assure you I give in depth, helpful, and thoughtful critiques to whatever you may want me to read.

and one last thing. if you do respond, whether it be a comment/opinion on the journal here, or asking for a critique from me, you just might receive points. more bribery? If thats what I have to stoop to to get your attention, fine.

Happy writing everyone!

Sincerely,
IdeasRknockin :iconideasrknockin:
I am sorry for the confusion about the whole group inactive thing - please disregard the notice.

Unfortunately we are experiencing some technical difficulties with the gallery submissions. I plan on fixing it as soon as possible. Currently, it'd be unwise to submit as since it may expire due to the technical difficulty. I am considering clearing out the gallery so we may start fresh. But I'd like to hear your opinion first before we do anything dramatic.

So tell us, what would you like to see going on here at Wannabe-Novelists? Most likely, our policy will change, mainly in the whole submissions thing. Please don't hesitate members, comment and tell me - what do you like about this group? What do you not like? What would you like to change?

Also, we are going to start bi-weekly prompts. Let's get those creative juices flowing! Plus, I strongly believe that regular writing exercises help improve our writing skill.

One last thing, I have several tricks (mainly getting over writer's block tips), exercises, and the like in general. It's a possibility that I may share them here as journals but do not want to spam your inbox. So if you're fond of the idea, tell me, and I'll do so!

Thank you for your time and consideration, and I apologize a thousand times over for any confusion. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
As of now, the group gallery is closed for some massive and much needed reorganisation. I'm expecting this to last through the month of June, but hopefully not much longer. Once the galleries reopen, there will be some updates to the submission rules and what exactly the group is going to accept.

There is quite a lot to sort through in the group gallery right now, so this is what I need:

Those of you with novels submitted to the gallery, please note me (angeljunkie) with the name of your novel, a brief summary of what your novel is about (see TarienCole's description for The Iron Coqnueror as an example).

This is not an optional request.

You have until the end of June to get this to me, but the sooner you get the information to me, the sooner I can get the galleries back open. And that's what we all want, isn't it? Of course it is.

Thanks to Ancient-Hoofbeats for being the only entry in the Synopsis Contest. I'll be posting the Featured Author later on today.
